GWO Basic Safety Training Refresher (BSTR) – Onshore
Course Overview
The GWO Basic Safety Training Refresher (BSTR) – Onshore course is designed for personnel who need to renew their existing GWO BST – Onshore certification before it expires.
Delivered in accordance with current Global Wind Organisation (GWO) standards, BSTR – Onshore ensures delegates maintain critical safety competence, remain compliant with employer and OEM requirements, and continue to work safely in onshore wind turbine environments. GWO BSTR – Onshore refreshes existing certification for Working at Heights, Fire Awareness, Manual Handling and First Aid.
GWO BSTR – Onshore is required by onshore wind farm operators, OEMs and contractors worldwide before personnel are permitted to:
- Access onshore wind turbine sites
- Work at height inside wind turbines
- Perform installation, service or maintenance activities
Without valid GWO BST – Onshore certification, individuals may be refused site access or deployment.
Prerequisites
- Be at least 18 years old
- Hold a current or recently expired GWO BST – Onshore certificate
- Be medically fit to work at height and participate in practical training
- Complete a medical self-declaration form
